Growing up in Miami, among a large immigrant population and family, has defined and shaped Carrie Salazar’s approach to librarianship. She feels strongly about advocating for voices who have not been traditionally represented in academia. She works collaboratively and empathetically with students, wanting to empower them to find their voices. She's lived in New England for 14 years where she's developed a soft spot for townies, but not for winter.
